Half of Us Hate What We’ve Become is a Baltimore-based quartet defined by disagreement. The drummer is feral, the keyboard player seconds from quitting, the bass player is convinced he’s in charge, and the guitarist is the only one you can rely on to pick you up from the airport. The music is equally jagged, disparate, angsty, and contrary. All originals; they would play a cover but they hate each other’s influences. It’s punk, zip your mouth and listen up. Or we can use words like lo-fi, minimalist, synth-heavy, post-punk indie rock if that helps you sleep at night. Gonna be hard to sleep with all this noise though so you might as well turn it up instead…
